Accessing parts or full scores
All the instrumental parts, plus full scores, for many works that we perform are now in the public domain and available from the excellent website at http://imslp.org/wiki/Main_Page
Highly recommended for that bit of practice when you don't have your music with you, or for listening to a recording with the full score in front of you.
Listening to recordings of the works we are rehearsing
For OU staff and students
(with an OU login and password)
You can access the Naxos Music Library of their recordings, and also the Classical Music Library. http://open.naxosmusiclibrary.com.libezproxy.open.ac.uk or http://internal.open.classical.com.libezproxy.open.ac.uk/.
If the links don’t work try http://library.open.ac.uk/resources/databases.html for a full list of databases.
Once within Naxos basically just search for what you want, select and play.
For external members
You can access the Naxos Music Library if you have a Milton Keynes or Bucks Library card. Click on http://www.mkweb.co.uk/library%5Fservices/DisplayArticle.asp?ID=45000. Note, you have to include the ‘B’ of a Bucks library no. but omit the spaces.
Post performance messages notes relating to previous concerts have been archived on a separate page.
