What was it about?

Colleagues exchanging ideas
This was a workshop for regional practitioners already familiar with the rich range of resources and discussion freely available through OpenLearn.

Who was there?

Jenny and Andreia - The OpenLearn team

The workshop was led by two colleagues from the Open University Openlearn team together with the SLN eLearning Project team. Those attending the workshop included practitioners from Northbrook College, Sussex Downs College, University of Brighton and the Open University.

What did we do?

The atmosphere was relaxed
We were given a useful overview of the OpenLearn resources available and the ways in which these could be edited in-situ. What was particularly valuable was the opportunity to work in some depth on specific OpenLearn units and to collaborate with others at the workshop with similar interests.

How will this workshop support the work of the SLN?

By giving practitioners insight into the curriculum work of colleagues and by developing further the range of tools and resources available to vocational learners.

If I missed the event, how can I find out more?

There was plenty of space to talk about projects
By visiting and registering for the OpenLearn site in order to browse what's available within the SLN zone and beyond. You might also be interested in our next 'event' in the Creativity Zone at the University of Brighton on 13th February. You will have a chance to meet members of the eLearning Project Advisory Group and to interact with some innovative elearning technologies and materials including those freely available through OpenLearn.
