Worksheet: The Blitz: General Discussions
It should be possible to have a class discussion around the photographs and documents on their own.
With the photograph of the Woman Police Officer and evacuee children,
for example, the students might be asked to estimate the ages of the
children and to consider/empathise with their journey away from London
and their parents.
Equally, it is possible to construct narratives from clusters of the documents and explore how they help us to understand experiences:
