Cycle Shelters & Shower Information

Walton Hall

The University provides cycle parking across Walton Hall and East Campus.

At Walton Hall there is a mix of bike racks and larger bicycle parking compounds close to building entrances. The secure cycle facilities can be accessed using your OU ID swipe card. There are also showers and changing facilities available. Further location information on these facilities can be found in the maps below:

Bike Pumps

Example of a bike pump

  • Security Lodge (this pump belongs to the OU Cycling Club, but they have kindly allowed other staff to use it)
  • Mulberry Bear bike shed
  • Frank Henshaw bike shed
  • Wilson H bike shed
  • Betty Boothroyd bike shed
  • Berrill North bike shed
  • Venables bike shed
  • Liaison Line reception desk in Geoffrey Crowther building. Colleagues may borrow the pump and then return it after use.

Bike parking

There are several bike parking facilities across Walton Hall and East Campus, these include:

  • Open bike racks – you’ll need to use your own bike lock to secure your bike
  • Secure bike shelters – access using your staff ID badge (you'll need to use your own bike lock to secure your bike)
  • Secure bike sheds – access using your staff ID badge (you'll need to use your own bike lock to secure your bike)
