Confidential waste (keep secure at all times!)

Most departments shred their own confidential paper waste, shredded waste can be treated as mixed paper and treated as dry mixed recycling (DMR).

For locations that do not have shredders or produce large or regular quantities of confidential waste, bins and/or dedicated waste sacks are available. For the Nations and Locations, contact your Support Services team, for Walton Hall and Wellingborough contact Estates Liaison Line.

Waste is securely destroyed with certificates of destruction held by the central estates waste team, and the waste being turned into new paper.
