Allusion to Classical figure Thales

Relationship to Classical text Mahon makes an oblique reference to the pre-Socratic Greek philosopher Thales, who asserted that water was the primary element, from which everything else was formed. Aristotle gives an account of Thales' philosophy in his Metaphysics I 983b.
