Alex Tickell is Associate Editor on the Journal of Postcolonial Writing and guest editor (with Ruvani Ranasinha) of the special issue 'Delhi: New Writings on the Megacity' 54.3 forthcoming in 2018.

Wasafiri: The Magazine of International Contemporary Writing, founded in 1984 by Susheila Nasta, was  based at The Open University between 2006 and 2016. Both Alex Tickell and David Johnson are Associate Editors.

Alex Tickell is an editorial board member of the Journal of Commonwealth Literature.
