The one-page feature celebrates female writing friendships in the run-up to the announcement of the last ever Orange Prize.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/blogs\/WritingTutors\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/The-Times.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-540\" title=\"The Times\" src=\"https:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/blogs\/WritingTutors\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/The-Times-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/blogs\/WritingTutors\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/The-Times-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/blogs\/WritingTutors\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/The-Times.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>As long-standing friends and supporters of each other\u2019s work, Emily and Emma suspected that behind the scenes other women writers also shared similar relationships.
