Romy Thomas’s short story ‘Wings’\u00a0is the joint winner of the recent Cinnamon Press mini-competition – based on the theme of ‘changes’.<\/p>\n

The competition judges described Romy’s story as follows: ‘Romyanna Thomas’s piece is a succinct and powerful narrative; from its shocking first sentence to the raw poignancy of the ending the whole piece sustains a single metaphor with superb control.’<\/p>\n
