Critical thinking is a key skill in media and information literacy. Discussions about fake news has led to a new focus on media literacy.<\/p>\n

With Oxford Dictionaries announcement that post-truth <\/em>is Word of the Year 2016<\/a>, it seems that there is a need to educate and advocate for critical thinking \u2013 a crucial skill when navigating the information society.<\/p>\n

The following infographic has eight simple steps (based on FactCheck.org\u2019s 2016 article\u00a0How to Spot Fake News<\/a>)\u00a0to discover the verifiability of a given news-piece. <\/strong><\/p>\n
