His finds shows that pedagogical skills for teachers to encourage and motivate students supported by digital technologies are essential to promote the construction of knowledge.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-esi09\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\">Currently he is an associate lecturer at University of Santa Cruz in Bahia. He was also an associate lecturer, responsible for introducing ICT to pre-service teachers in Science Education at UNESP. He holds BSc in Biology from Universidade Estadual Paulista J\u00falio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP), master and doctoral degree in Science Education also from UNESP. <\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-26or2\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\">Andr\u00e9 Correa was a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Okada at the Knowledge Media Institute (KMi-OU) and participated in various projects:<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-6435o\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\">1.\u201c21st century education\u201d (by Telefonica Foundation) as part of the group COLEARNERS21,<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-eo29j\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\">2.\u201cweSPOT ( working with social personal open technologies for inquiry based learning)\u201d, responsible for the first pilot in Biodiversity in Secondary Schools,<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-26kl7\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\">3.OER &amp; Social Networks, member of the Scientific Committee<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-fbd1c\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\">Correa is currently a research collaborator of the COLEARN Open Research Network (KMi\/OU).<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-7ilu9\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\">His interests include skills and competences for the use of Information and Communication Technologies applied to science teaching for the 21st Century.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-6ns9t\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\"><strong>Team: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-259o2\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\"><a class=\"TWoY9 itht3\" href=\"http:\/\/kmi.open.ac.uk\/people\/member\/antonio-roberto-coelho-serra\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">D<\/a>r Cintia Rabello, Dr Mikroyannidis, Dr Alexandra Okada<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-8tdgu\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\"><strong>Publication:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-bmdm5\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\">Mikroyannidis, A., Okada, A., Correa, A.L. and Scott, P.
