{"id":280,"date":"2020-07-25T12:48:04","date_gmt":"2020-07-25T11:48:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/blogs\/greenforum\/?p=280"},"modified":"2023-12-04T12:58:33","modified_gmt":"2023-12-04T12:58:33","slug":"wespot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/blogs\/greenforum\/index.php\/2020\/07\/25\/wespot\/","title":{"rendered":"weSPOT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"viewer-foo\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\"><em>is a Working Environment with Social, Personal and Open Technologies for Inquiry Based Learning.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-5qcoh\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\">Its aim is to propagate scientific inquiry as the approach for science learning and teaching in combination with today&#8217;s curricula and teaching practices. <\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-9r5d3\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\">weSPOT will create a Working Environment with Social, Personal and Open Technologies that supports users (from 12 to 25) to develop their inquiry based learning skills by means of:<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-2sumt\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\">(i) a European reference model for inquiry skills and inquiry workflows,<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-4itut\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\">(ii) a diagnostic instrument for measuring inquiry skills,<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-63c0i\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\">(iii) smart support tools for orchestrating inquiry workflows including mobile apps, learning analytics support, and social collaboration on scientific inquiry,<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-68jqg\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\">(iv) social media integration and viral marketing of scientific inquiry linked to school legacy systems and an open badge system. <\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-6dsjq\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\">In inquiry-based learning co-learners take the role of explorers and scientists and are motivated by their personal curiosity, guided by self-reflection, and develop knowledge personal and collaborative sense-making and reasoning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-1fm0s\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\">weSPOT will work on a meta-inquiry level in that it will:<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-6l7st\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\">1. define a reference model for inquiry-based learning skills,<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-5nbr7\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\">2. create a diagnostic instrument for measuring inquiry skills, and<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-c18c9\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\">3. implement a working environment that allows the easy linking of inquiry activities with school curricula and legacy systems.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"viewer-3782d\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<h5 id=\"viewer-86lbd\" class=\"HHdl8 G444B IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"BxhkN\"><strong>Partners<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li id=\"viewer-di9gq\" class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\"><span class=\"d0767\">OUNL<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\">TUGRAZ<\/li>\n<li class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\">KUL<\/li>\n<li class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\">IACM-FORTH<\/li>\n<li class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\">ILI-FAU<\/li>\n<li class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\">NIS-SU<\/li>\n<li class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\">IPAK<\/li>\n<li class=\"-Zro6 -ZADH IjV6v AnCKd _57WYp\">ILI<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>is a Working Environment with Social, Personal and Open Technologies for Inquiry Based Learning.
