Avid for Ovid

Avid for Ovid who specialise in creating solo dance performance based on Ovid’s Metamorphoses will be giving a free performance on Wednesday, 3 June, 5.30-6.30pm, at the Jacqueline du Pré Building, St Hilda’s College, Oxford.

Attendance is free, but please register for the event by 1 June by emailing bodyandbeingnetwork [at] gmail.com

The story of Myrrha and her incestuous relationship with her fatherwill be performed by choreographer and dance artist Marie-Louise Crawley and composer and Open University Honorary Associate  Malcolm Atkins  in a version they have created using mask-based dance and live music. The performance will be followed by a facilitated audience discussion of “Embodying Emotion”.
