IMS Music and Media Study Group

Ben Winters has just returned from the University of Turin, where he gave a paper entitled ‘Rehearing Classical Hollywood: Concert Scenes and the Self-Referential Score’ at the Music and Media 4th Study Group Conference (in association with the International Musicological Society). The conference was attended by scholars from the U.S, Canada, Hong Kong, and Europe, and featured a key-note address given by Prof. Claudia Gorbman to mark the 25th anniversary of her landmark publication in the field of film musicology, Unheard Melodies.
