American Musicological Society Award

Recorded Music: Performance, Culture and Technology (Cambridge University Press, 2010), edited by Amanda Bayley (University of Wolverhampton) has won the American Musicological Society’s Solie Award (outstanding collection of essays). The book includes a chapter by OU author Catherine Tackley, entitled ‘Jazz Recordings as Social Texts’.
