Here are\u00a0some of the most popular series from 2015:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.open.edu\/openlearn\/whats-on\/tv\/countdown-life-the-extraordinary-making-you\">Countdown to Life: The Extraordinary Making of You<\/a><\/em> told the thrilling story of how you were made, combining human stories with ground-breaking computer generated imagery (CGI). Image from Channel 4<\/p><\/div>\n<p>With the prediction that in the future one in three people in the UK will be affected by dementia, the examination of this disease on Channel 4 in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.open.edu\/openlearn\/whats-on\/tv\/dementiaville\"><em>Dementiaville<\/em> <\/a>was thought-provoking.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.open.edu\/openlearn\/chasingperfection\">Chasing Perfection<\/a><\/em>, presenter Michael Johnson looked at what makes a world-class athlete and how sports science has developed over the past 20 years.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Looking ahead to 2016<\/em><\/p>\n<p>2016 will be another exciting year with programmes marking the 400<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of Shakespeare\u2019s death on BBC1 and on the World Service, a new drama about the Bronte sisters, <em>To Walk Invisible, <\/em>the return of <em>Child of our Time<\/em>, and a series in which The Hairy Bikers bring young and old together to explore the value of inter-generational relationships.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>The Open University\u2019s broadcast partnerships<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The OU has partnered with the BBC for over 40 years to produce educational radio and television broadcasts \u2013 this has evolved from late night television lectures to prime-time blockbusters today such as <em>Frozen Planet, Bang Goes the Theory, Coast, The Hunt <\/em>and <em>Business Boomers.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Main image: <\/em><em><span style=\"color: #44546a; font-family: 'Book Antiqua',serif;\">The Hunt (the bear) &#8211;\u00a0 \u00a9 Silverback \/ BBC<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over 30 co-produced programmes with the BBC and Channel 4 inspired our viewers and listeners this year.
