{"id":22159,"date":"2022-10-12T14:01:37","date_gmt":"2022-10-12T13:01:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ounews.co\/?p=22159"},"modified":"2022-10-12T14:01:37","modified_gmt":"2022-10-12T13:01:37","slug":"ou-bbc-the-big-green-money-show-returns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/blogs\/news\/business-law\/ou-bbc-the-big-green-money-show-returns\/","title":{"rendered":"OU\/BBC: The Big Green Money Show returns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eco-friendly podcast The Big Green Money Show is back, examining the way some businesses are becoming greener.<\/p>\n<p>Presented by Dragons&#8217; Den&#8217;s Deborah Meaden, the 11-part OU\/BBC series will be tackling questions such as,<em> \u2018can capitalism ever be green\u2019<\/em> and <em>\u2018how to have a greener funeral\u2019<\/em> amongst many others.<\/p>\n<p>The programme airs weekly on Radio 5 Five Live and then each episode is available on BBC Sounds.<\/p>\n<p>OU academic consultants for the series are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/people\/rs25777\">Dr Rodion Skovoroda<\/a>, Senior Lecturer in Finance in the Faculty of Business and Law and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/people\/aa22873\">Professor Ali Ataullah<\/a>, Professor in Finance in the Faculty of Business and Law.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Rodion Skovoroda said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;The Big Green Money Show is a consumer and business-oriented programme that inspires people to think and talk about one of the biggest threats that this world faces \u2013 climate change. Both the general public and, in particular, aspiring entrepreneurs who are keen to make a difference should find the programme relevant and exciting.&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Professor Ataullah added:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cAs citizens have become increasingly aware and interested in environmental issues, this informative and engaging show explores what companies do in addressing such issues. There are some really good tips on what citizens and entrepreneurs can do as well.
