{"id":24685,"date":"2024-02-09T17:52:57","date_gmt":"2024-02-09T17:52:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ounews.co\/?p=24685"},"modified":"2024-02-09T17:52:57","modified_gmt":"2024-02-09T17:52:57","slug":"new-ou-bbc-mini-films-for-bbc-morning-live","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/blogs\/news\/around-ou\/new-ou-bbc-mini-films-for-bbc-morning-live\/","title":{"rendered":"New OU led films for BBC Morning Live"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/courses\/choose\/the-open-university?ps_kw=open%20uk%20university&amp;cid=sem-9237400975&amp;gad_source=1&amp;gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-NS75-6dhAMVcRkGAB2rpgvREAAYASAAEgKu3PD_BwE&amp;gclsrc=aw.ds\">The Open University (OU)<\/a> have led on six films in partnership with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\">BBC<\/a> for the popular BBC ONE show <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/programmes\/m000nxkq\">Morning Live<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The films will explore a broad range of topics such as demystifying cognitive behavioural therapy and muscle loss and will feature on Morning Live which broadcasts daily from 09.30 on BBC One.<\/p>\n<p>The first film \u2018Healthy\u2019 Options\u2019 airs on Monday 12<sup>th<\/sup> February and focuses on ultra-processed foods, explaining what they are and how to spot them. This will be followed by \u2018Lonely Bereavement\u2019 \u2013 a film about supporting those who are grieving or have a terminal illness &#8211; on Friday 16<sup>th<\/sup> February.<\/p>\n<p>Director of Broadcast and Partnerships, Dr Caroline Ogilvie, said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThis is the first time we have collaborated on insert films for Morning Live and we are excited to have contributed to some really thought-provoking and informative films through the expertise of our academics\u201d.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Dr Zsuzsanna Barkanyi and Dr Ursula Stickler, the academic consultants for the film \u2018Language Learning\u2019 said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe have noticed that particularly older students seem to be worried about learning a new language. As we know there is no reason for any concern, since speaking a language is not all or nothing.
