{"id":24701,"date":"2024-02-14T15:58:20","date_gmt":"2024-02-14T15:58:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ounews.co\/?p=24701"},"modified":"2024-02-14T15:58:20","modified_gmt":"2024-02-14T15:58:20","slug":"ou-bbc-documentary-series-drugs-map-of-britain-returns-with-new-episodes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/blogs\/news\/around-ou\/ou-bbc-documentary-series-drugs-map-of-britain-returns-with-new-episodes\/","title":{"rendered":"OU\/BBC documentary series Drugs Map of Britain returns with new episodes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Four brand new episodes from series two of the hard-hitting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/\">OU<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/\">BBC<\/a> series <a href=\"https:\/\/ounews.co\/around-ou\/tv-radio\/drugs-map-of-britain-returns-for-a-gritty-new-series\/\">Drugs Map of Britain<\/a> will air from Tuesday 13<sup>th<\/sup> February on BBC Three at 9pm.<\/p>\n<p>The series dives into the real world of drug users and dealers in the UK today, cutting through the headlines to lay bare the realities of British youth drug culture.<\/p>\n<p>In the first episode, we travel to Leeds to meet the men in their twenties who use sex pills regularly and the drug dealer mixing cocaine and Viagra for a \u2018weekender\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>In subsequent episodes we meet the vape user who was hospitalised after his vape was spiked with Spice and explore the epidemic of the so &#8211; called \u2018zombie drug\u2019 Monkey Dust in Stoke on Trent.
