A major challenge in education across the world is to support the large number of less well-represented actors and territories towards a more scientific-literate society for sustainable development locally and globally.<\/p>\n

With this purpose in mind,\u00a0 the Rumpus team established a partnership with various organisations in Brazil and visited the Amazon Forest in November 2022 to implement an\u00a0 open schooling initiative.<\/p>\n

Partners of the OU \u2013 Open University UK were the UFAM \u2013 Federal University of Amazon, the UFCA \u2013 Federal University of Cariri,\u00a0 and three NGOs: \u201cAnjos Digitais\u201d for digital and scientific inclusion with gender equity; IRAMA \u2013 Ribeirinhos Institute of the Amazon\u00a0 and\u00a0 REDDA \u2013 Reduction of Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation.<\/p>\n
