{"id":377,"date":"2020-04-29T14:29:37","date_gmt":"2020-04-29T14:29:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/blogs\/sport-research-group\/?p=377"},"modified":"2020-04-29T16:43:08","modified_gmt":"2020-04-29T16:43:08","slug":"new-publication-and-training-model","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/blogs\/sport-research-group\/?p=377","title":{"rendered":"New Publication and Training Model"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/people\/njk84\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" >Dr Nichola Kentzer<\/a> recently contributed to the 2019 Winter edition of Research Intelligence from the British Educational Research Association (BERA) with an article featuring a model that was developed as part of her PhD research.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/blogs\/sport-research-group\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/NK-Publication.png\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-380 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/blogs\/sport-research-group\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/NK-Publication.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"790\" height=\"591\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/blogs\/sport-research-group\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/NK-Publication.png 790w, https:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/blogs\/sport-research-group\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/NK-Publication-300x224.png 300w, https:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/blogs\/sport-research-group\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/NK-Publication-768x575.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 790px) 100vw, 790px\" \/><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The mentoring model conceptualised in Nichola\u2019s research has subsequently been used to good effect by supporting the development of the supervisor training resources for the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bases.org.uk\/spage-professional_development-separ.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" >Sport and Exercise Psychology Accreditation Route (SEPAR)<\/a> launched in January 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The use of Nichola\u2019s mentoring process in the BASES SEPAR supervisor model has been a key part of structuring the supervisor training.
