Helen\u2019s research focused on \u2018bringing the body back in\u2019 via a phenomenologically inspired approach, exploring how \u2018tests of experience\u2019 can cultivate a sensuous self by sharpening awareness of all the senses. Motorcycling requires a sharpening of senses, meticulous preparation, and swift recovery following setbacks.
