Ensuring that the UK has the skills base to meet the requirements of a more research-intensive economy is an ongoing priority for CaSE. In addition to developing the future skills pipeline, reskilling and upskilling the existing workforce will be essential to deliver the scale of change needed. This will be especially important considering the UK Government’s ambitions to make the UK economy more research intensive.
This roundtable will seek to open dialogue on organisational priorities on reskilling and upskilling, their potential impact on availability of skilled STEM talent, and how the UK Government could seek to support lifelong learning through the short, medium and long-term.
