The Open University’s Phil Kenmore, Head of Health and Social Care (Business Development) was recently invited to address the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Apprenticeships in Westminster.

The Open University (OU) has been delivering successful pre-registration nurse training since 2002. Our unique approach blends technology-enabled learning with local support from expert tutors, and is delivered in partnership with employers. An OU nursing degree is well suited to a wide variety of students who prefer a more flexible approach which enables study around family or other commitments and for those less able to move or travel to study.

The Open University has launched the new Social Worker Degree Apprenticeship which will provide a vital new work-based route into the profession.
