Article in Policing Insight: Online learning comes of age

CPRL Director of Learning, Dr Paul Walley, recently had an article published in Policing Insight entitled “Online Learning Comes of Age” that reports on the Open University’s valuable experience in online learning at a time when other universities are being forced to adopt similar approaches out of necessity. 

In the article Paul highlights how the Open University’s approach to learning design and the team-based development process combine to produce quality online courses.  He uses the example of the development of the PCDA programme for North Yorkshire police as an example of a programme that went ahead on schedule despite the challenges of lockdown, producing a good learning experience for the students.
