Brain for Business, Brain for Life podcast

Brain for Business

In addition to his work with the Centre, Associate Lecturer Laurence Knell is host of the Brain for Business, Brain for Life podcast.

Started in 2020, the Brain for Business, Brain for Life podcast aims to take the lessons from evidence-based academic research, most particularly involving the brain and behavioural sciences, and translate them in a way that is accessible for leaders and organisations.

A number of recent guests have discussed topics directly relevant to policing and the work of our members.  This includes an interview with Swedish expert on radicalisation and exit work, Robert Örell, on some of the key drivers and challenges of radicalisation.  Laurence has also interviewed Dr Lara Frumkin of The Open University on impact that accents can have on the perception of defendants and witnesses in dealings with the police and in criminal proceedings.

The podcast is is available on a number of popular platforms, including iTunes, Spotify and Google Podcasts
