The Centre is creating two new academic posts, to lead work with the police partnerships and to lead the knowledge into practice stream of work. Both Directors will be members of the Centre’s Leadership team.  This is an opportunity to shape the work of the Centre and more widely in the field of public services over the next three years and beyond:

Director of Partnerships, Centre for Policing Research and Learning (VRF 17232) - you will lead, strengthen and extend the partnerships between police forces/agencies and the Centre for Policing Research and Learning (CPRL) and encourage agencies and academics to engage with existing and new opportunities for collaboration.  You will also undertake research and write reports and academic publications.

Director of Knowledge into Practice, Centre for Policing Research and Learning (VRF 17230) - you will lead the programme of ‘research into practice, practice into research’, ensuring that the Centre is at the leading edge of theory and practice about this area. It includes organizing knowledge into practice activities with police agencies and assessing their value. You will also undertake research and write reports and academic publications.

Both provide an exciting opportunity to join the Open University’s Centre for Policing Research and Learning, based in the Faculty of Business and Law and working with all faculties of the University.
