This Open University Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership webinar marked the International Day for the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination on 21 March 2022.

The event brought together researchers, service providers and leaders of Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) organisations from across the UK and beyond. We were joined by Kaveed Ali, Director of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at UK Community Foundations, Lela Kogbara, Executive Director of Black Thrive and Charlotte Amos, Senior Policy Officer, Inclusion and Engagement, Cardiff Race Equality Taskforce.

This event was organised by Dr Fidèle Mutwarasibo, Lecturer in Work Based Learning and was co-chaired by Dr Carol Jacklin-Jarvis, Director of the Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership in the OU Business School. Professor Siv Vangen, Head of the OU Business School, shared a pre-recorded message outlining the OU's commitment to becoming an anti-racist institution.
