Physics

Your OU physics modules will  include studies of classical mechanics, waves, optics, electromagnetism, relativity and quantum physics. You start with a mathematics module which will equip you with the fundamental building blocks for the higher physics modules..  

The OU modules* that you will study are:

• MST124 Essential mathematics1
• SS001 Laboratory Skills for Science 
  short residential school
• S217 Physics: from classical to quantum  
• MST224 Mathematical methods (required by some partner universities)
• SXPS288 Remote experiments in physics and space
• For BSc Dual Honours Physics and Philosophy A222 Exploring philosophy is also required.
