GOP and GENIES IWD event: Solidarities at work

A large crowd during a protest

Please join us on 8 March in celebration of International Women’s Day, where we will contemplate solidarities at work – the perpetuum mobile of gender equality. Our special keynote speaker, Professor Alison Pullen, will ponder the institution of the street as a material site through which political collectives are enacted in an embodied way, across and within intersectional differences. The event is scheduled for 18:30 GMT and you can register for free here.

As a warm-up to our keynote, GOP and GENIES have prepared a rich programme that will be running throughout the day. Here you will be able to hear more about journeying between ideology and praxis, embodied solidarities, solidarities across difference, but also about enacting solidarities at the workplace around issues such as endometriosis and early pregnancy endings. The programme is open to all and the links for each session will be provided closer to the time.
