The Social Media Engagement Team (SMET) sits within External Communications in the Marketing and Communications Unit (Marcomms) and is responsible for all organic (not paid) social media communications. When it comes to getting content onto the main brand accounts, there is a concrete editorial process in place. Content requests are reviewed against the five social media strategy content pillars, an editorial filtering process, and capacity of the team.
Support with social media content
If you require social media support as part of an activity or campaign, please give us as much notice as possible. Requests should be emailed to the Social Media Engagement Team with as much detail as possible including audience, objectives, KPIs, preferred channels, dates and content requirements. Content requests will need to fit with one of the five pillars of the social media strategy, and then reviewed against an editorial process, existing planned content (which is prioritised) and team capacity.
