If you've got a passion for arts and culture then why not explore our exciting array of arts and humanities courses at every level, from beginner to postgraduate?
Be inspired by Shakespeare's prose, develop a talent for creative writing, find out why music is so important to our culture today or learn how history helps us understand the society we live in today.
Whatever intrigues or fascinates you, we'll use our talent for delivering learning to help you develop valuable, transferable skills such as generating ideas, creative thinking, working to deadlines and self-evaluation. Skills that can go towards gaining careers in many different areas.
Single Honours Degrees provide the opportunity for study in a specialist area, however our BA (Hons) Arts and Humanities degree is a little different. You have the choice of following a broad route through the degree, covering a fascinating variety of cultures, periods and subjects and choosing from a wide range of modules according to your needs and interests.
Or you could choose a specialist route through the degree and gain a Combined Honours Degree, focusing on two or more subjects such as art history, classical studies, creative writing, English language, English literature, history, music, philosophy, religious studies, French, German or Spanish.
The name of your undergraduate degree will reflect your chosen route. For example:
