Senior Careers Consultant: University of London Careers Service

Liz Wilkinson is a Senior Careers Consultant at University of London Careers Service, where she designs, develops and delivers a range of live and asynchronous careers development support to undergraduates, postgraduates and early career researchers. In 2020 she was part of the team that won the University of London Roger Mills Prize for Innovation and Learning for their work with University of London Distance and Flexible Learners.  Formerly Director of Careers and Employability at Royal Holloway for 15 years, Liz Wilkinson led a multidisciplinary team of 18 staff to empower 10,000 students to launch themselves into graduate careers. The quality of the Liz’s professional work has been recognised by an AGR national award for Best Preparation for Work in Higher Education in 2015 and two University Teaching Prizes for delivery of employability in the curriculum in 2012 and 2015.  Liz has 32 years’ experience in employability, graduate recruitment and HE. She has worked in 7 universities including UCL, Goldsmiths and Queen Mary, and as Deputy Director of Careers at King’s College London. Liz has delivered consultancy to Cambridge University, EdHec Lille and BI Norway. Nationally Liz served as a Board Director of the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services 2016-22, undertaking the role of National Treasurer and Company Secretary. Liz has a M.A Classics from Trinity College, Oxford, as well as a Dip C.G. HE from the University of Reading and most recently a PGCert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education awarded in 2019 from the University of London.
