Learning Design Team, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences: The Open University

Jitse van Ameijde works as part of the Learning Design team in LDS where he leads a small team of Learning Designers who support the design of new curriculum in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. He has a broad interests in how students learn and how to design effective pedagogies which students experience as engaging and worthwhile. Over the years he has been involved in a wide range of projects around student retention, student workload, and student engagement and how these factors shape the experience of a wide diversity of learners.

He is also interested in the wider mysteries of life and sitting outside in the sunshine drinking cappuccino whilst studying people walking by.
