The Open University is delighted to introduce the International Funders' Award (IFA). This award is designed for anyone working in research to help develop the skills necessary to manage their own time, a team, projects and budgets more effectively and in line with funders' expectations. This programme will help you increase the success of managing your research work and continue to make great choices for your career and ongoing development.
The development of the IFA programme has been funded by The Wellcome Trust, a financially and politically independent charity that supports science to solve the urgent health challenges facing everyone.

Completing the programme provides evidence to funders that research professionals have sought to ensure they have the necessary leadership and management skills worthy of their award.
The programme covers 11 short courses including Budgeting, Communication and Presentation Skills, Cultural Awareness, Resilience and Mentoring.
Within the programme, there is a selection of free learning and resources to help you get
the most from this programme.
The learning modules are individually priced so you only pay for the learning you need, when you need it. There is no time pressure for you to complete each module.
The International Funders' Award is delivered wholly online. We have taken our established teaching model and created learning that is blended to meet the needs of researchers and you will have access to a learning advisor and a number of free learning resources to ensure you will get the best from this learning experience.
