To gain an understanding of daily life inside an institution.

Students have a heightened understanding of the rules and regulations governing patients' lives at St. Lawrence's hospital.

Time required

15 minutes

Resources

Activity

  1. Teacher guides students through different times of the day.
  2. Students play patients.
  3. They must act out what they are doing at different points of the day.
  4. Teacher may add in instructions and rules to anchor the day.

Ideas for follow up

Write up a list of rules that the patients have to live by.
