Financialisation: in search of some much-needed coherence in its operationalisation and in future empirical research

Mentions of financialisation have increased dramatically since 2008, within both the academic literatures and the mainstream press. However, what has been largely lacking to date is agreement as to what financialisation actually is, something to be addressed in this workshop, focusing largely on the non-financial corporation (NFC).
