Abstract
After decades of military rule, Nigeria's return to democracy in 1999 has allowed its cinema to screen past and present conflicts. The paper presented by Françoise and Alex – based on the analysis of three films that discuss the 1967-70 civil war and the current Delta crisis – will reveal Nollywood as both sounding board and political advisory platform.
