Applications invited for funded PhD studentship studying the global South

16 April 2018

A new funded PhD studentship for Open University (OU) graduates has been made available by the OU, Christian Aid and Robert Beevers Memorial Studentship to study research capacity in the global South.

Based in Development Policy and Practice (DPP) at The Open University in Milton Keynes, the studentship is for three years full-time and will support research that takes a critical perspective on research capacity strengthening, specifically in the global South.

Students will benefit from a rich and diverse research environment encompassing the social, economic, political and technological aspects of international development and inclusive innovation, and Christian Aid will facilitate office space as required and links to its offices in the global South, as well as the possibility of an internship.

The deadline to apply is midday 7 May, 2018. More detailed information on the studentship, subject area and how to apply can be found on the following page: PhD Studentship: ‘Understanding and improving research capacity in the global South’.
