We have had to make a number of statutory changes to the AL application form to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation, employment legislation and the Welsh Language Standards 2018 (WLS 2018). We now only accept the new application form (ALAPP5).
For vacancies in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales:  In order to meet and to fulfil our commitments to external funders and stakeholders in those nations, and/ or to comply with certain regulatory and statutory requirements, we reserve the right to give preference to appointable candidates who can demonstrate appropriate knowledge and experience of the particular National context, e.g. legal, education and healthcare systems
All those applying for and accepting an Associate Lecturer role should note that:

New and enhanced Associate Lecturer terms and conditions of employment (“New Terms”) were negotiated and agreed with the Trade Union in Autumn 2018. Associate Lecturer union members confirmed their acceptance of these New Terms when balloted in January 2019. Therefore all employed Associate Lecturers will move to the New Terms in due course. The timescale for this change is not yet fully confirmed and the University will provide further details in due course.

Please note: Any offers of appointment to teach on the module can only be made once a sufficient number of students have registered, which may not be known until two weeks before the module presentation start.
