Lecturer in Music, FASS – ACEM
ORCID: http://orcid.org/0000-0001-9828-7182
Research interests: I’m interested in early electronic music instruments and practice, including building instruments, performing, and reconstructing early pieces. I use ethnographic research as well as archival and practice-led methods.
My data: Audio recordings, video, audio software, database, Drupal/MySQL, images
Why I became a Data Champion: I’m an advocate of open access data, but also acutely aware of how fragile data is, given my involvement with early sound recording media, such as wax cylinders and magnetic tape. I’m happy to help colleagues work out the most effective ways of dealing with their data both in terms of organising it and enabling wider access to it.
