line 1: The Bishop of Durham has not considered himself an annual
line 2: Subscriber to the Society of the Protection of Life from Fire; but has
line 3: occasionally given a donation, as he had reason to suppose its
line 4: function sufficiently useful.
line 5: At one time it did appear to him, that it did not produce
line 6: so much benefit as it might but, in the belief that it has
line 7: improved, and it's the hope that it will improve still
line 8: more; the Bishop sends the above donation –
