University libraries

University libraries who are members of the SCONUL Access scheme sometimes offer computer access to SCONUL Access registered staff and students. The level of access will depend on the institution. Some offer access to licensed software applications, others allow access to online resources licensed for use by visitors, or simply offer access to the internet. Check the website of the library you plan to visit or contact them in advance of your visit.

Public centres

All UK public libraries have internet enabled computers available to the general public. Access to these computers may be free or there may be a small charge (with most libraries charging for printing). They can be very popular, so you may have to book.

Some other computer facilities, such as the UK online centres may also be available in your area.
