New Library Search – act now!

Student working from home on their laptopDid you see the good news? Our new and improved Library Search is now live! We hope you’ve had a chance to use the new system and benefit from the most up-to-date search engine we’ve ever had.

We can confirm that most Saved Results are now available in the new Library Search. A small percentage of Saved Results have not transferred into the new system, and they will not be migrated. This affects a small number of users. If this applies to you, we will contact you directly to help you recreate these Saved Results in the new system.

You may recall that Saved Searches and permalinks will not automatically appear in the new Library Search. It is time for you to take two actions to ensure that all your data is in the new system.

  1. If you had Saved Searches in the old Library Search, you will need to rebuild them in the new system. Our Saved Searches tool is now available and will enable you to view a log of all your Saved Searches, open them in the new system and save them again there. Use the Saved Searches tool now
  2. If you had permalinks in the old Library Search, you need to recreate them, by performing your searches again and selecting the permalink icon in the new system

Although you have until June to do this, we recommend that you take both actions now to make your experience with the new Library Search as smooth as possible.
