These are tools that have resulted from innovations. They have been tested and are now supported and available to use. We would still appreciate your feedback about them so that we can continue to improve them.

Library Access Browser Extension

The Library Access browser extension makes it simple to access academic articles, journals and databases licensed by The Open University Library, wherever you are and whenever you need them. Simply download the extension, and finding resources will be easier than ever.

EZproxy Bookmarklet

This has been replaced by the Library Access Browser Extension Access publisher content directly with the EZproxy bookmarklet. This bookmarklet tool creates a link in your browser favorites bar which will re-write the URL of the current page being viewed to use an EZproxy URL. For OU subscribed resources, this will provide full access to the content.

EZproxy URL generator

To use this tool, write or cut & paste your URL into the text box labelled 'URL'. Your EZproxied resource will appear as a clickable link in the 'EZproxied URL' area. The URL will provide access to OU subscribed content.
