Improving your experience accessing online resources


How do I attend?

Go to Improving your experience accessing online resources and select 'Join Room' located at the bottom of the page. The room remains closed until the trainer has entered – this will usually be 15 minutes before the start time.

Benefits

This 1 hour session will introduce you to various way to improve your experience of online resources. You will learn about the different available file formats, and some of the tools you can use to improve their accessibility.

Who is it for?

This session is open to all but is most relevant to students who may experience difficulties in reading some full-text formats and would like to learn more about accessible formats.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the session you should:

  • be aware of accessibility issues with the formats of some library resources
  • know about hints, tips and tools for improving the accessibility of library resources
  • know what SensusAccess is and how to use it if you have a print disability
  • know how to contact the Library for help and support
