Library Search linking issues - 6th July 2020

Update 7th July 2020: this has now been resolved and all links are now working.

We are aware of an issue currently affecting links to resources from Library Search. Links to many resources are resulting in an error message rather than opening the resource.

We believe this is due to a platform update that occurred over the weekend and we are working with the supplier to resolve it.

Access to all resources remains unaffected. In order to access resources please access the relevant database from the Database page on the library website.

To ascertain which database holds the resource you want to access please follow these steps:

1. Search for the resource in Library Search.
2. Click on the title of the resource in the results list. Do not click the Full text available link.
3. In the 'View Online' section there will be listed the database(s) that hold the resource.
4. On the Database page on the library website find the relevant database.
5. Click the database name to open.
6. You will now be able to search in the database for the title of your resource.

We apologise for the inconvenience this issue is causing, and we hope to have this resolved as soon as possible.
