Trade Unions

The OU works in partnership with a number of trade unions under a formal partnership with the Northern Ireland Committee of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions with a goal to widen access to higher education and build capacity for members, both formal and informal.

Through the partnership, we provide updates on new courses and informal learning, training sessions, tailored registration and support processes, learning advice and guidance.  We work with the network of Union Learning Representatives to encourage the workforce into learning and skills development.
