As well as co-ordinating a wide range of practical activities, the Open Justice Centre is also engaged in academic research on the topics of clinical legal education, access to justice and pro bono (“for the public good”) work.
We are currently working on an empirical project exploring motivations for pro bono work amongst solicitors within England and Wales. We are also writing on the opportunities and challenges created by providing legal advice and guidance in an online setting.
