Michela holds a BA from the University of Milan (Italy), a 1st level Specializing Master on Management and Control of Local Authorities (Master Perf.ET) from the University of Ferrara (Italy) and a Master Degree in Services' Management and Design from the University of Milan-Bicocca (Italy).
During her studies, she undertook some internships in different Italian Public Authorities (Municipalities, the Chamber of Commerce of Milan) and she started collaborating with other public organizations and associations. All these activities approached her and developed her interest in the study and understanding of public leadership, especially its collective nature, of community involvement and empowerment, of co-creation of public services and of service quality and accountability.
She is now a Doctoral Student at the Open University where she is researching “City Leadership in European Cities”.
